Families lined up for face painting, cookie decorating and photos with Santa for annual tree lighting

POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - Tanger Outlets Savannah held its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday night as the holiday season quickly approaches. Santa and his reindeer were attendance as families waited in line for face painting, cookie decorating and the chance to take a picture with them.Attendees counted down the seconds before the tree was lit. Members of the Hutchenson family were among those who took part.“Three, two, one,” the group counted, followed by cheers.They described the event in comments on camera.“Amazing,” one said.“Love it, I wish we had more family events,” another said.“It’s a lot of fun, I’ve never done this, they talked me into doing it and it’s a lot of fun,” a third said.Snow started to fall when the tree was lit.
