ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Runners kicked out the planes from one of the runways at the busiest airport in the world on Saturday morning. After the event was delayed several weeks due to storms from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias in October, runners finally got to lace up their shoes for the Mayor’s 5K on the Runway. Atlanta News First Anchor Brooks Baptiste served as the event’s emcee. Proceeds from the 12th annual run benefit the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program and United Way of Greater Atlanta.This is a developing story. Check back with Atlanta News First as we learn more.
